The Ombudsman, Mr. Endrit Shabani, met with the UNDP Resident Representative in Albania, Ms. Randi Davis. The meeting focused on strengthening the strategic partnership and coordinating efforts for the protection of human rights and increasing institutional transparency.

During the conversation, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to move to a new phase of technical cooperation, to facilitate initiatives on the ground and to measure the performance of public administration in relation to human rights.

Joint actions were agreed on critical topics such as digitalization, gender equality, access to justice and migration.

Mr. Shabani praised the role of UNDP as a key partner in modernizing monitoring processes, while Ms. Davis emphasized the importance of the Ombudsman institution in guaranteeing the rule of law in Albania.
