More Safety For Our Children, Online And Offline, The Ombudsman Meets With C.R.C.A Leaders
The People’s Advocate and the Center for the Protection of Children’s Rights in Albania (CRCA) held a working meeting to formalize a new strategic cooperation. The focus of the discussions between Mr. Endrit Shabani and Mr. Altin Hazizaj was the protection of children from online bullying, mental health and the challenges brought by the application of the Digital Services Act (DSA) in Albanian law.
The parties agreed on several concrete joint steps:
The CRCA will immediately refer cases of bullying and abuse reported to its “ALO 116” and “iSIGURT” lines, which will be followed up with priority by the Children’s Section of the People’s Advocate.
With the transposition of the DSA (Digital Services Act) by the end of 2026, both institutions will monitor the implementation of self-regulatory policies by online media to guarantee a safer environment for children.
This partnership aims to strengthen the voice of children and ensure that any violation of their rights, whether in real or virtual life, receives the appropriate institutional response.
