In the framework of the invitation forwarded by the President of the Association of Ombudsmen and Mediators of the Francophonie (AOMF), People's Advocate Erinda Ballanca attended the tenth AOMF Congress in Brussels, Belgium.

The tenth AOMF Congress coincides with the celebrations on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of AOMF, and therefore the main theme of the event was "AOMF 1998-2018: 20 years in the service of Mediators and the rule of law".

In 20 years, AOMF has carried out considerable work: support to Mediators 'institutions, training of their staff, strengthening of their operational capacities, increasing the presence of the francophonie in 37 countries through the Mediators, statements supporting the protection and promotion of Mediators' independence , protection of fundamental rights, protection and promotion of children's rights, etc.

Meetings and Congress were held in Brussels, in the building of the Parliament of the Federation of Walloonie-Brussels.

Albania's People's Advocate Institution plays an important role as a member country of AOMF, along with dozens of other countries from Europe, Asia, Africa, America etc
