Following the diplomatic meetings at the start of his mandate, the Ombudsman, Mr. Endrit Shabani, was received by the Ambassador of Sweden to Albania, Mr. Niklas Ström.

Mr. Shabani outlined his vision for the promotion of human rights, commending Sweden as a model of excellence from which our institution can learn best practices.

Both parties agreed that the protection of the most vulnerable segments of society is key to Albania’s success in the European Union integration process.

Sweden remains an important donor and steadfast partner, supporting the most sensitive sectors in our country.

We are open and enthusiastic about the joint projects that await us in the future, with the sole goal: Protecting the dignity of every citizen!
