Consumer Complaints About The Private Sector Will Not Remain Unresolved: The Ombudsman And The Organization "Alert" Sign A Cooperation Agreement

Consumer complaints about the private sector will not remain unresolved: The Ombudsman and the organization "Alert" sign a cooperation agreement

Citizens who complain about violations of their rights as consumers by private entities will not be left without a solution. Every complaint about the private sector filed with the Ombudsman will be forwarded for assistance to the “Alert” organization’s green line, based on the agreement signed by the Ombudsman, Endrit Shabani, and the Executive Director of “Alert”, Granit Sokolaj.

The agreement works both ways. Even complaints collected by the “Alert” toll-free line that involve violations by the public administration will be referred to the Ombudsman for further prosecution, always with the citizen’s consent.

The constitutional mandate of the Ombudsman covers the actions and inactions of the public administration. But citizens also face problems in the private sector every day, especially as consumers. This partnership guarantees that no complaint remains unanswered and that every citizen is directed to the competent structure.

Collaboration with civil society remains a pillar of our work to ensure that the voice of every citizen is heard.
