The Ambassador of Germany, Karl Bergner, visited the Ombudsman today. He congratulated Mr. Shabani on his new position and the work that the institution does in protecting human rights, describing it as a contribution to the promotion of European values.

“The support of our partners helps us in our mission to protect the rights of every citizen, especially those who have no voice in decision-making. The only path to Europe is to build a just and inclusive society,” said Shabani.

The focus of the conversation was human rights, including the challenges of persons with disabilities, as well as building a society where no one is left behind, including marginalized communities.

Both sides agreed to deepen cooperation in this direction.
