Hate speech on social media is affecting young people and vulnerable communities the most.

The Ombudsman, Mr. Endrit Shabani, raised this concern in a meeting with the new Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, Ms. Genta Tafa (Bungo).

“The hate speech on social media is a serious problem for the protection of the rights of the people and the environment. It is a serious problem for the protection of the rights of the people,” said Mr. Shabani.

Both institutions will coordinate their work within the framework of the Alliance against Hate Speech, with a focus on presence in the territory and proximity to the citizen.

Mr. Shabani wished Commissioner Tafa (Bungo) success in her new assignment and offered full institutional support through the regional offices of the Ombudsman.
