Closer To The Community. The New Ombudsman's Office In Kamëz Municipality
Residents of Kamza no longer need to travel to the center of Tirana to file a complaint about public services.
The Ombudsman opened a new field office today, next to Administrative Unit No. 2 in the Municipality of Kamza. The office is located on the outskirts, near an area with a high concentration of the Roma community, precisely where the need for access is greatest.
Any citizen who believes that their rights have been violated by public institutions can now contact us at this address.
This office is part of a broader plan: the Ombudsman is considering opening other offices in the suburbs, because those who need protection the most are often the ones who have the most difficulty seeking it.
During the visit, the Ombudsman Endrit Shabani discussed with the Mayor of the Municipality Rakip Suli the expansion of social support schemes in the area, not only with financial assistance, but also with concrete services for families in need. The Ombudsman praised the Kamëz Municipality's investments in kindergartens and schools as an important step to provide children with dignified conditions for education.
